Registration Fee

All registration fees must be paid in full by August 9th, 2020.

Your registration fee will include shoes, lollies, crop top, bow, blue & white socks, and pink socks. Cheerleaders will still need to supply their leggings and jacket. However, we will be using the same ones from last season, so that you will be able to use those again if they still fit.

Your registration fee will also cover the cost of uniform rental. Uniforms will need to be returned to the league by December 1st, 2020 or there will be an additional fee of $35.

Early Bird Registration Costs (02/22/2020-06/01/2020):

Rookies (6U): $90
Freshman (8U): $140
Sophomore (10U): $140
Junior (12U): $140

Regular Registration Costs (06/02/2020-08/09/2020):
Rookies (6U): $100
Freshman (8U): $150
Sophmore (10U): $150
Junior (12U): $150

Note: In the event that our season is cancelled due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, each person who registers through our website will receive a full registration reimbursement, less only a $5 administrative fee.  This fee covers our base cost for credit card processing.  However, any persons who registers via check or cash will receive a full refund.  Any other requests for refunds, not due to a season cancellation, will be subject to the existing $25 cancellation fee policy.  


Cheer Practices & Games

Practices will begin Monday, August 3rd this season.

Practice nights will be Monday-Tuesday-Thursday nights from 6:30pm - 8:00pm until school begins.                              
After Labor Day practice will change to two nights a week(Coaches and Team Moms for each squad make this decision and will send out this communication once the new practice schedule has been decided). Games will be on Saturdays. We send out the game schedule as soon as we have it from River City which is often not until late in the month of August.  There are generally 4 home games and 4 away games with an additional few playoff games.                              


Cheerleader Dress Code

·      Appropriate clothing for practice. Comfortable tennis shoes must be worn at all times.

·        NO pockets on clothing.

·        NO jewelry can be worn during practice or on game day.

·        Hair should always be pulled back. It must be worn in a very high pony on top of the head for game day.

·        All cheerleaders must be dressed identically on game days. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please bring all of your uniform pieces to every game.

**Game schedule is given out as soon as it is provided to us from River City (typically late August)

2020 Squad Assignments

ROOKIES (Ages 5&6) – must be 5 by 9/30/20

FRESHMAN (Ages 7&8)

SOPHOMORE (Ages 9&10)

JUNIORS  (Ages 11&12)

** Parents can put in a request to have a cheerleader cheer for a different squad however exceptions are made on a case by case basis. The coaches will review these requests during the first week of practice and make a determination based on the athlete’s skill level and size of the squads. We do our best to accommodate as many of these requests as possible.

Volunteers & Fundraising

Blue Star is a recreational organization open to athletes of all skill levels and experiences. We depend solely on the dedication and support of parents and volunteers to provide a successful program.


All families will be asked to meet the minimum selling requirement or pay an opt-out fee for our league fundraiser that will be announced in August.


All cheer families will be asked to sign up for one volunteer duty for the 2020 season. Volunteer duties include, making banners for game days, organizing the Kickoff Party and Homecoming, serving as a Team Mom to help with communication, helping with picture day, assisting with uniform fittings and distribution, and planning the trophy party etc.
