Fall 2023 Registration

Registration:

***All fees must be paid in full at the time of registration***

Registration Fee includes:
1.) Uniform ( football jersey & integrated game pants )
2.) Game socks 
3.) Mouthpiece
**pants must be returned back to the league by November 26, 2023, or you will be charged a $100 fee; players will keep jerseys after the season**

Parents/Guardians are responsible to supply:
1.) White Helmet
2.) Shoulder Pads
3.) Practice Jersey
4.) Practice integrated pants
5.) Cleats
6.) Child's DMV ID- mandatory first week of practice August 2023

Early Bird Registration Costs (02/10/2023 - 03/31/2023):
Rookies (6U): $100.00
Freshman (8U): $155.00
Sophomore (10U): $155.00
Junior (12U): $155.00

Regular Registration Costs (04/01/2023-07/21/2023):
Rookies (6U): $125.00
Freshman (8U): $175.00
Sophomore (10U): $175.00
Junior (12U): $175.00

Requests for refunds, not due to a season cancellation, will be subject to the $50.00 cancellation fee policy; this will cover the credit card cost and be a donation to Blue Star.

2023 Age Divisions: (Divisions are based on the participant's age as of July 31st)

Rookies Ages 5 & 6 (unlimited weight)
Freshmen Ages 7 & 8 (unlimited weight)
Sophomores Ages 9 & 10 (unlimited weight)
Juniors Ages 11 & 12 (unlimited weight)



DMV ID:

All football players are required to have a non-expired DMV ID card. 

These DMV IDs are used to verify your child before every game. Your son/daughter will NOT be allowed to play in a game unless we have a current DMV ID at check-in prior to the start of that game. You can download a DMV ID request form from our website by clicking on the link at the bottom of our Home page. Fill out that form and take it to the DMV with your son/daughter along with their birth certificate, social security card, and proof of residence such as a utility bill. They will take a picture of your son/daughter, and you will receive the card in the mail in about 7 days. Please have the ID so that you can give it to your Team Director during the first week of practice.

Volunteers & Fundraising:

Blue Star is a recreational organization open to athletes of all skill levels and experiences. We depend solely on the dedication and support of parents and volunteers to provide a successful program.

Volunteering: All football families will be asked to sign up for one volunteer duty for the 2023 season. Volunteer duties include: field prep for home games, helping with team check-ins on game days, filling up water bottles, organizing the Kickoff Party, Homecoming, helping with picture day, working the concessions stand, assisting with uniform fittings and equipment distribution, and planning our year-end parties. Please indicate which volunteer activities your family is interested in during registration.

Fundraising Requirement: All families will be asked to meet the minimum selling requirement or pay an opt-out fee for our league fundraiser that will be announced in August.

Registration:

  • crop top
  • bow
  • blue & white socks, and
  • pink socks
Uniforms need to be returned to the league by November 26, 2023 or there will be an additional fee of $100.

Cheerleaders need to supply:
  • lollies
  • shoes
  • leggings
  • jacket

Cheer Practices & Games:

The games will be on Saturdays. We will send out the game schedule as soon as available (ETA: early August). There are generally four (4) home games and four (4) away games with an additional few playoff games.  
Practices are held on weeknights; dates are subject to change based on coach's discretion

Cheerleader Dress Code:

- Comfortable tennis shoes must be worn at all times.       
- NO pockets on clothing.       
- NO jewelry can be worn during practice or on game day.       
- Hair should always be pulled back. It must be worn in a very high pony on top of the head for game day.      
-Wear comfortable clothing during practice 
- All cheerleaders must be dressed identically on game days. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please bring all of your uniform pieces to every game.

Squad Assignments:

- ROOKIES (Ages 5&6) – must be 5 by 7/31/23
- FRESHMAN (Ages 7&8)
-SOPHOMORE (Ages 9&10)
- JUNIORS (Ages 11&12)
** Parents can request to have a cheerleader cheer for a different squad, however, exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis. The coaches will review these requests during the first week of practice and make a determination based on the athlete’s skill level and the size of the squads. We do our best to accommodate as many of these requests as possible.**
